Karnataka state conducts Common Entrance Test for admitting students in various governments/ private institution in Karnataka state. This exam is conducted for the students those who have finished their Higher Secondary education and waiting to join in any higher degree courses. Not only the certificate holders can apply but also the students who are in the final year of their Higher Secondary Certificate can also be able to apply but for all those kind of students are supposed to submit all their mark sheet and the required documents at the time of admission. And those who fail to produce the document will be eliminated from the admission process.
KCET 2014 Eligibility
For engineering courses, candidate must pass in their 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination from any recognized state/ central board with minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates) in physics, mathematics and along with chemistry/ biology/ biotechnology as optional with English.
Candidates appearing for examination have to submit the qualifying marks at the time of admission.
Candidate should be an Indian citizen and a resident of Karnataka state. And should submit resident certificate at the time of admission.
Other state candidate students are not allowed to apply.
For Architecture courses, candidate must pass in their 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination from any recognized state/ central board with minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates) and a minimum of 40% marks in NATA which is mandatory for all candidates.
