IAS 2014

The examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. It has three stages (preliminary, mains and interview) and is considered to be extremely challenging. Recently, the preliminary exam pattern has changed. There used to be 23 optional subjects along with a general studies paper.

Either a bachelor degree in Engineering or Master degree in Arts and Science (example M.Sc etc..) or its equivalent degree with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as their specialized subjects in their graduation is preferable.

Candidates in the final year of their graduation in engineering are also eligible to apply.

The applicant should be either an Indian.

The relaxation in Nationality only for 3 other countries namely Bhutan, Nepal, Tibetan.

The age of the students would be a minimum of 21 to a maximum of 30.

Relaxation for SC / ST students of up to 3 years in the upper limit (i.e. 33).

Also AMIES, ICE, IME Candidates are eligible for IES exam.

Application form will be available online in the site mentioned below. Last date would be 2nd week of April.

Rs. 50 (Rupees fifty only) for online applicants.
Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) for Candidates of Specified remote areas.

Admit card will be sent postal as well as online availability.

Exams will be in the mid of June.

Results will be declared after 2 months of your examination date.

2 papers of 1 with objective and other is conventional type.

  12. You have given the information for the help of people that is good but please avoid to misguide the people with age eligibility its 3 years for OBC not for SC/ST its 5 years.
